What We Do
For the Public:
- We partner with the community to prepare for, respond to, mitigate the impacts of, and recover from disasters.
- We anticipate future disasters and take preventive and preparatory measures to build disaster-resistant and disaster-resilient communities, including education and hands on skills training.
For Emergency Management Professionals:
- OEM collaborates with city departments, non-profits, hospitals, schools, and other community partners to create effective emergency management strategies.
- The mission of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is to coordinate information, resources and plans of action in times of emergency.
